Michal Jareš

Michal Jareš (*1973) studied from 1993 to 1998 at Palacky University in Olomouc (Theory and history of dramatic arts and literature). Since 1999 he works at the Institute of Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences in Prague. He also worked as the editor of literary magazine Tvar (1999–2012). He is concerned with contemporary Czech and Slovak literature (especially poetry); also discusses the popular literature and the history and theory of comics. Besides it he is also the editor of a number of publications, books, anthologies and committees. He is also the author of several books of poetry and a number of literary reviews and critiques.
